The ensuing twilight wrapped its billowing fronds around that place like a coruscating dark vine.

Yeah, I think so. Kind of reminds me of, I guess, of a string of beautiful promises that tear themselves apart out of their own weight.

A huge crunching roaring fire spat out vicious embers at the laughing onlookers feeding it with strong liquor.

Cool. Can I sit down? Maybe that’s just how those kind of promises work. You probably wouldn’t want to be the pool of water waiting down there. You’d just be thrashed on a daily basis

forever, always.

More people climbed up the crook like sap rising in an oak.

True. But I like, just, the look of the whole thing.

The inferno gorged itself into the creases of the air.
